Microbiology
Microbiology is the study of microscopic organisms, also known as microbes, that are too small to be seen with the naked eye. These organisms include bacteria, viruses, fungi, algae, protozoa, and archaea. Microbiology research covers many aspects of microorganisms, such as: biochemistry, physiology, cell biology, ecology, evolution, clinical aspects, and host response. Microbiology has many sub-disciplines, including bacteriology, mycology, phycology, parasitology, virology, and immunology.
